Today, in the late afternoon, we were visited by Canon Joseph Akol Gak, a priest from the Diocese of Bor in the Episcopal Church of South Sudan. Canon Joseph is an elder and a veteran local missionary who has planted hundreds of churches, preached and baptized thousands of people in urban areas, villages, and refugee camps. Canon Joseph taught Fr. John and believed he had a vision at a young age. “What John is doing today, started long ago. God called him at an early age. I am privileged and honored to have been a part of his spiritual journey. I am his spiritual father,” he emphasized. Canon Joseph prayed for the staff, teachers, students, parents, and school projects, including the ongoing construction of the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. He also prayed for the unity of the church, the South Sudanese communities, and the nation at large. He received a copy of the Good News Bible from Fr. John Chol Daau on behalf of GSA
