Ten Years of Learning, Faith and Service
2016–2026
Good Shepherd Academy was founded in 2016 with a simple but important purpose: to give children access to quality education in a safe, nurturing and faith-centred environment.
Where We Began
Good Shepherd Academy was established in 2016 at a time when many children and families in and around Juba were living with the consequences of conflict and displacement.
The school began as a response to an immediate need for access to education, but with a vision that went beyond the classroom: to provide children with a safe and nurturing environment in which they could learn, grow in faith, develop character and look to the future with hope.
From the beginning, GSA has sought to make quality Christian-based education accessible to children, with particular attention to those from vulnerable and underserved communities.
How We Have Grown
What began as a response to an immediate need has grown into a vibrant school community.
Over the past decade, classrooms have filled, teachers and families have joined the journey, and successive generations of children have learned and grown at Good Shepherd Academy.
Today, GSA provides education from Nursery through Primary Eight, continuing to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning while remaining rooted in the Christian values on which the school was founded.
As the Academy grows, its purpose remains constant: to nurture each child’s potential and prepare young people to become responsible citizens and servant leaders.

At the heart of Good Shepherd Academy is a belief that education is about more than academic achievement.
We seek to nurture the whole child—intellectually, spiritually and socially—grounding learning in Christian faith and cultivating the character, confidence and sense of responsibility children need to serve their communities and shape their future.

A Decade of Faithfulness

Ten years after its founding, Good Shepherd Academy celebrates a journey made possible by the dedication of its pupils, teachers and staff; the trust of parents and families; and the commitment of churches, partners, sponsors, supporters and friends.
Above all, this anniversary is a moment of thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness through every season of the Academy’s journey.
As GSA enters its second decade, we look forward with renewed commitment to strengthening the quality of education we provide, expanding opportunity for children and continuing to nurture young people for mission and service to community.
